Apropos of nothing, growing up in Tampa and attending Gasparilla every year clearly denotes where I fall on the Pirates v. Ninjas debate. As far as I know, ninjas do not have parades where candy is thrown (non-lethally) and general merriment ensues. Or if ninjas do have parades, clearly they are at night and in the shadows.
