Here's the craziness about the redistricting - we're being moved from a school that's 1.65 miles away from our house to one that's 4 miles away. The closer school is a straight shot up the road that I could walk the kids home from in the afternoons (mornings? Ehhhh). The new school is along a very busy state highway.
They built a new elementary school 8 miles north of here and the domino effect is just cascading all around. I'm really not happy with it. Even though the new school is slightly better (read: even more homogeneous and wealthy! Harder to do here in Roswell), I'm not thrilled with this.
