Jan. 23rd, 2006 09:37 pmThis afternoon, I had my 28 week OB/GYN appointment. Most of the visit was spent talking about the episode from this weekend. The doc did an ultrasound to ensure that there was no dilation and that the munchkin was doing well. Amelia conducted herself somewhat well in the doctor's office...even though he made the mistake of looking directly at her. (Ever since her spate of ear infections, she is afraid of doctors, even when it's not a visit for her.)
I then drank a cup of the glucola orange drink o'doom, and had to entertain Amelia for an hour while my body reacted poorly to the drink (temperature swings, grumpiness, queasiness). Then the nice vampires came by, took a few vials of blood, and sent us on our way. I hate the Gestational Diabetes testing. With luck, I'll pass the one hour so I don't have to go for the three hour calvacade of fun!
To anyone that I've spoken with today, I apologize for being a grouch. I've felt awful since I woke up at 4:45 AM, and the day's gone downhill since.
