Things are looking up slightly. Tom went to the doctor today; I'll try to get by tomorrow. The cold has branched out into an upper respiratory infection in him; I assume that I've gotten my quarterly sinus infection.

At this point, not sure when mom is getting out of the hospital. She has some sort of strep infection in her body, and they aren't sure where. They think it may be around the port in her chest, which is bad.

I'm just done for today. I'll cheer myself up by showing off the cuteness:

Thanks, gorgeous. I'm sure it's due to my illness, my mom, Katie not sleeping well at night, and me going off the antidepressant a month ago...

Babies with swords? What is this world coming to?!

Hope you and your other family members are feeling better soon.

Hey! It was just a little pirate sword. ;)

Cute kids, they yours? ;)

Brace yourself! The ride gets more fun...and faster. Well, at least that's what I am experiencing now. Shel distinctively heard from Elerie in the other room the other day, "Mama. Please help me get off the piano."

Whenever you are just twisted and spent, keep reminding yourself how wonderful those two little girls are. It's all worth it.

Hahahaha! I think I had something to do with making them. ;)

Thatis, in fact, extreme cuteness... both pictures....

*hugs* Hoping you and Tom both feel better soon... and I'll be thinking of you and your mom.

Oh that's a helluva grin. She knows exactly what she's doing with that sword...

My wee pirate!

[identity profile] bossieboots.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Very soothing pictures! I thought for a moment that she was holding a samurai sword, baby-sized. Then I realized it was a slipper. :-)

[identity profile] heathrow.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a wee plastic sword that Amelia had discarded from her pirate costume. Katie crawled over, grabbed it, and looked very satisfied. I had to snap a picture.

Been thinking of you. Damn, the kids are adorable!

[identity profile] heathrow.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Same, girl. Everything okay? :)

Baby with a big ol' knife - how cute!
Big Girl with little pumpkins - adorable!

My kid is almost 15 and is currently holed up in her room, doing "homework", listening to music, and reminding us how stupid we are.

BTW, I'm a friend of Hepcat8, even though he recently called me a slut! ;)
