Thank Goodness for the Sitter....
Jul. 28th, 2007 01:03 pmI made an early dinner for us all, and we put the kids in bed by 7:45. Our sitter showed up a touch after 8, and we skeedaddled a few minutes later. We stopped to pick up some cash and some snacks for the movie. (We still spent $14 at the theater on 2 drinks and popcorn, so I don't feel guilty about sneaking in a pack of Milk Duds and a pack of M&Ms.)
The Harry Potter film was good. It was dark, but so is book 5. :) The theater was about half-full, and the audience was mostly adult. No one acted poorly, so I was thrilled. Even better was that the seats had armrests that could be put up, so I was able to cuddle into Tom while watching the movie.
We got home and discovered the sitter in one piece and the girls asleep. Yay! We paid her (plus nice tip) and sent her on her way. Tom and I had some much needed adult time and a good night's sleep. :D
