Alton Brown's Blueberry Buckle recipe is ever so tasty.  It's a breakfast item, but it's currently doubling as a dessert item for Tom.  (The ginger in the buckle and the nutmeg in the strussel - so good.)

It's not health food, but it's a damned good coffee cake.

Did you watch that episode too? I have been wanting to make it all weekend!

I did! I had a pint of blueberries that I was going to use in banana bread, but I decided to just go for it and make the buckle. (Surprisingly enough, I had cake flour in the pantry.)

I think I have everything I need to make it but it is too hot to bake. Maybe once it cools off.

It's so yummy. It's going to be at least 4-5 mornings of breakfast assuming we don't eat it for dessert as well. ;)

If you make it with blackberries and blueberries, then slice it and smear ginger marmalade between it, you can have a black and blue buckle sandwich.

Which I did, in July.

Is it wrong that I laughed and laughed at this?

I hope not! I initially made it for the LOLs.
